ANGER AS PLUG IS PULLED ON ABI TITMUSS MUSICAL

A Lincolnshire college has been criticised after an end of term show based on the life of TV celebrity Abi Titmuss was pulled from a public run.
Students from Boston College protested in the town after their production of Abi Titmuss - The Musical was banned from Lincoln's Theatre Royal.
After complaints from parents, teachers said it could only play before an invited audience on college premises.
The show centres on the presentation of women and morality in the media.

Student Karen Lamb, who was due to play Abi's agent in the play: "I don't think we have pushed the boundaries in the show any more than magazines do nowadays."
A spokesperson from Boston College, said: "The decision to cancel the show was taken following concerns raised by the parents of two students, in addition to the sensationalised publicity attracted by the play's focus on Abi Titmuss.
"Boston College is proud of its students and the standards of their performance and we are looking forward to staging future productions.
"We understand and share the disappointment of students taking part in the show, but wish to stress that the cancellation of the performance in Lincoln will not affect the final year assessment and achievement of the students taking the course.
